Padrino

As a Padrino, or godparent, you ensure that students without sponsors still receive a scholarship. You ensure their class’s progress is measured and the program will continue to grow and improve. This means covering costs such as scholarships for unsponsored students, research, program evaluation, and matching students and sponsors. You will receive regular updates and notes from your class, and a plaque recognizing your gift at CoEd’s Education Center.

Santa Lucía Milpas Altas is named as tribute to Saint Lucía and the high corn of its mountainous location. The main industries are manufacturing, construction and agriculture (vegetables, beans, avocado, corn). Santa Lucia joined the Rise Program in 2018.

The Santa Lucia High School Class of 2027 has 13 Rise scholars.
