Biography
I am Heydi T. I live with my parents and my 6-year-old brother. I live in the community of Hacienda María, which borders a community of San Martin Jilotepeque called El Aguacate. From where I live you can see many natural landscapes and breathe the fresh air. In the morning I hear the birds singing among the trees. My father's name is Rodolfo and my mother is Margarita. My father works planting beans, cornfields and sometimes tomatoes. These crops are for the daily needs of my family. My father studied up to second grade. Due to my grandparents' lack of financial resources, he could no longer continue studying. My mother only studied until sixth grade, because my grandparents did not believe in education because she is a woman. That is why she says that I must study so as not to have a life like the one she had to live. I am very grateful to my parents because they believe a lot in education. I have dreamed of being a teacher. I know that with the efforts of my parents and mine I will fulfill my dreams. I am a very organized student and I look for solutions to problems. I dream of being a teacher to help my little brother with homework and support my parents in the future. Having a scholarship would be the best thing to achieve this goal in my life.
