My name is Lucrecia X., I live in the community of Santo Domingo Xenacoj. I live with my parents Santos and María and my four sisters. We are studying now, which makes it more difficult for my parents to provide us with studies at the same time. My father does not have a stable job, and sometimes he does not have a job at all. My mother makes fabrics that she sells in the market of my community. Sometimes she does other people's washing or cleaning in other people's houses to be able to help at home. My mother got ill, she is now in treatment to improve. This affects her a lot because she cannot make handkerchiefs with the same ease as before.
I long to be able to become a graduate in child psychology so I am able to help children who have different problems in their studies. My favorite subject is mathematics because it makes it easier for me to carry out operations and I like to be able to solve problems. In my free time, I like to help at home to my mom and help my little sisters with their homework. I do my homework starting with the easiest ones and then I do the difficult ones.
