My name is Nataly S., I was born in the village of Quisaché, Acatenango, on May 21, 2012. I am the oldest of my two siblings. I live with my siblings and my parents. My brother is currently in 3rd grade and the youngest will begin his studies next year. The three of us are very happy because my mother and my father, Maynor, support us. He only studied 6th grade, so he works as a security guard. Before, he worked on a farm, but due to shortages and the high costs of everything, he had to move to the city to do something more for me and my siblings. My mother, Herlinda, is a housewife because she did not have the possibility to continue studying because my grandparents did not have the money. She only managed to complete the 4th grade, but during harvest time she goes out to pick coffee to be able to support my father with the finances.

They both support us a lot and want us to get ahead and not suffer what they suffered as children. I would really like to work as an agent for the police, but first I really want to graduate as an accountant so I can have more opportunities to be in an office. I really like playing soccer because that way we meet more people and when we're playing we focus and forget about everything. I like it a lot because of them. In my free time I also like to read and learn more because reading helps us have a good vocabulary.

In the mornings I study and have fun at my little school with my classmates because we play different games. In the afternoons I do my homework and help my mom with the cleaning and some other things that she asks me to finish and dedicate time to. My wish is to continue with my studies and to be a professional, although I know that it is very complicated because of the finances because everything is very expensive and my parents have a hard time covering all the expenses. For this reason, I want the scholarship so that I can fulfill my goals and achieve my dreams of graduating as an accountant.
