Biography
I am Ana, originally from the municipality of San Pedro Yepocapa. I was born on July 20, 2011. My father is Pedro, he studied until 3rd grade. He works as a day laborer. My mother is María. Unfortunately my grandparents did not give her the opportunity to study because they said that education was only for men. She is a housewife. She is sick and that is why she must stay at home. I have 8 siblings. The first graduated as an accountant with the support of a scholarship, and the other seven only studied up to 6th grade. They stopped studying due to scarce resources.
I would like to study to be a stylist and have my own beauty salon since it is important to support everyone and support my family. In my free time I like to read, paint and play with my nieces and nephews. I also like to do my homework and help at home, cleaning and cooking with my mother. The days that I do not have classes I help my sister in a small shop so she supports me when I need it. At the end of the year we go to work in the coffee fields since that is the only date where we find a job that lasts about three months.
I want to continue studying and be a professional, however, my parents are older and will not be able to support me in all the expenses of my studies. Without the scholarship I would try to continue studying and working to achieve my goals, although with help I know that everything will be better. With the scholarship, I will make an effort and attend each of the workshops.
