My name is Raúl M., I was born on February 12, 2012. I live with my mom, my dad and my eight siblings. I am the third child. We are originally from San Martin Jilotepeque. The house where we live is our own, my parents managed to buy the land when it was still part of the farm. I am currently studying at the school in my community. My favorite class is Communication and Language, it is a very nice class. My mother's name is Maria, she did not have the opportunity to study. She takes care of us. My father's name is Alejandro, he studied up to 6th grade, and he works as a day laborer.

I have two siblings who study thanks to the support of the scholarship program. The oldest is Kevin, then my sister Dulce. They have motivated me a lot to continue studying. Then there's Nelson, Josue, Melvin, Jony and Edwin. The last two are not studying yet. And my youngest brother is a baby. I want to continue studying so I can graduate as a lawyer when I grow up and have a good job. In my free time I help my dad in the fields and I also work with neighbors who ask me to help them in any job. This helps me to have income to support my family in household expenses.
