Biography
My name is Rosy P., I was born on September 20, 2008 in the community of San Martin Jilotepeque. I am the oldest of two daughters. When I was younger, my mother was pregnant with twins, but unfortunately they could not be born. The family situation was very difficult because we were very sad. Our situation has been very complicated because the finances in my home are very scarce. My father is a farmer, he works in the fields but what he earns is very little and he only manages to save money for the household expenses. His name is Fredy, he only managed to study until 6th grade. My mother's name is Matilde, she takes care of the house and also weaves napkins, which she sells to the neighbors in order to contribute financially to the household expenses. My mother only managed to study 5th grade. My sister's name is Dalia, she studies 4th grade.
I am currently studying and my biggest dream is to be able to study and become a Certified Public Accountant, since I really like learning new things. I want to graduate so I can support my parents and be someone in life and thus have better opportunities. My favorite subject is Natural Sciences. At the institute where I study, I really like reading history books and helping my teacher organize the classroom. In my free time at home, I do my homework and I help with chores. I also love to embroider napkins, which my mother and I also sell to help with household expenses. I know that with the scholarship my future will be different because I will be able to achieve my dreams and fulfill my goal of being a professional.
