Biography
My name is Brandon. I was born in Antigua, Guatemala and currently live in the community of San Bartolomé Milpas Altas. I am in sixth grade and will be entering seventh grade in 2026.
I am the older brother of a sister. My sister is 7 years old and is in first grade. My mother, Sandra, only completed third grade and is a homemaker. My father completed fifth grade and works as a bricklayer in my community. There are times when my dad is unemployed. My parents fight for us so that we have everything we need at home. I have seen the effort they make, and that motivates me to continue studying for them.
In the future, I would like to graduate as a teacher so I can support my community. I love the English course; I believe that learning another language opens up many opportunities for us, and in the future, I will be able to travel and communicate with people from other places.
I enjoy participating in school activities. I've participated in singing, served as mayor for a day, and won Olympic medals. I was also a flag bearer (honor roll) in preschool, fourth grade, and fifth grade. I'm excited to earn a scholarship to achieve all my dreams. My goal is to graduate and be able to support my parents in the future.
