Biography
My name is Mirian. I was born on October 28, 2012, and I live in the community of La Merced, in the municipality of San Martín Jilotepeque.
I live with my family; there are seven of us. I have three siblings who also attend elementary school and a younger brother who stays home. My mother only managed to complete third grade because she didn't have the opportunity to continue her studies as a child. She is a homemaker and takes care of me and my siblings. She always helps me with my homework. My father works as a day laborer. He leaves work very early every day and doesn't return until late at night. What he earns is very little and barely covers household expenses. He was also only able to complete third grade due to a lack of financial resources when he was a child.
My favorite subject is Communication and Language, because in it I learn to read and write correctly. I love going to school because I have many friends who I spend time with every day. My teacher is great and teaches me with dedication. In the afternoons, I do my homework and help my mother with chores. I also play and laugh with my siblings. I want to get a scholarship because I know that with that support, I'll be able to continue my studies and achieve my dream of becoming a teacher. I also want to have a good job to help my siblings so they can continue their studies too.
