Biography
My name is Miguel. I live in the community of Jometes, in the municipality of San Martín Jilotepeque. I was born on May 22, 2012.
I live with my parents and three siblings. My father works as a loader in a factory in the capital. He only managed to complete sixth grade and is the one who takes care of all the household expenses. My mother is a homemaker. She also completed sixth grade and stays home taking care of my younger sister, who suffers from a condition . My little sister has suffered greatly since she was little. When she was born, she was hospitalized for a long time. At that time, I was little and was in the care of my maternal grandmother. It was a very difficult time for my family.
Currently, my sister continues to receive lifelong treatments, which further complicates our financial situation. My older brother works and studies at the same time, and we all support each other at home.
I'm doing well in my studies; I love going to class. My favorite subject is Communications and Language because I like learning to write and read correctly. My dream is to become a professional and graduate as a teacher, since I would like to teach children. At home, I help my mom with housework, I like taking care of my little sister, painting, and doing my homework. I want a scholarship because I know it would be a great support to continue my studies. My family's financial situation is very difficult, and I want to have a better future so I can help them.
