Biography
My name is Zayda. I was born in Santo Domingo Xenacoj, Sacatepéquez, and I have five siblings. Of my five siblings, two are older and have partners; they did not study due to the family's financial difficulties. My third brother lives at home and works, but does not earn much. The youngest ones continue studying, although it is complicated due to the financial hardships we face.
My father, Vinicio, works as a farmer; although he does not earn much, he strives to give us the best. My mother, Rosa, is a homemaker and always supports us so that we do things the best way, as my father advises us. I really like cooking, so I would love to graduate as a professional chef so I can open my own restaurant and thus support my family and my community.
In school, my favorite class is Communication and Language, because I like to read, learn new things, and discover words that help me express myself better. I actively participate in classes and enjoy reading. In the mornings, I attend school, where I have fun with my friends during recess; in the afternoons, I help with chores and do my homework.
I want this scholarship to continue my studies, graduate, and support my parents. My dream is to prepare for the future and be a good person.
