Biography
My name is Madelyn. I was born in Santo Domingo Xenacoj, Sacatepéquez, and I have two brothers. My older brother stopped studying due to a lack of financial resources. My younger brother and I are in elementary school, and we both support each other to get ahead.
My father's name is Rolando. He works in a maquila factory and strives to give us the best, even though it's very difficult. My mother's name is Wendy. She's a homemaker and always supports us in everything we do, because she says we have to get ahead. My parents guide and support us, but I know that the economy in my house is complicated. I want to study and become a professional in medicine so I can always support my family and my community, ensuring that they have someone to care for them and cure their ailments.
I like going to school because I spend time with my classmates and we support each other. My favorite course is Math, so I help my friends who struggle with this subject. In the mornings, I attend school to study, play with my classmates, do homework, and learn new things. In the afternoons, at home, I help with the chores my mom assigns me and then I do my homework to do well in all my courses. I am happy to have this scholarship because my greatest wish is to graduate and fulfill all my dreams and goals of becoming a medical professional in the future.
