Biography
My name is Edison. I was born in Santo Domingo Xenacoj, Sacatepéquez, and I have three siblings. Of my three siblings, one works, and my sister and other brother attend school. They all work hard.
My sister is like a mother to us because she always supports us. My mother passed away in an accident. Since then, we have relied on an aunt who helps us with everything. My father works as a gardener in a residential development, but it's hard for him because sometimes there's not enough money. Even so, he does everything he can to make sure everything is okay at home.
My biggest dream is to graduate as an accountant and work in a bank, serving people, and supporting my family. I know the situation is complicated, but we always find a way to get ahead. I really like going to school and helping my friends, especially in math, which is my favorite class. I enjoy helping my classmates with problems they find difficult.
In the mornings, I study and enjoy going to school. In the afternoons, after completing my homework, I help with the housework so as not to overburden my sister. I'd really like a scholarship because I like to study, and I don't know how much my dad will be able to support me. My wish is to graduate so I can help my family, especially my dad, in the future.
