Biography
My name is Jeferson. I was born on January 7, 2013. I live in the municipality of San Martín Jilotepeque, Chimaltenango. My mother and two brothers live at home. My mother's name is María. She was widowed a few years ago when my father died. Since then, my mother has worked hard to provide for us and cover household expenses. It has been very difficult for her because there are days when my brother and I have to stay home and prepare our meals since my mother works very early. The family situation is very difficult because my mother works so much. My mother only completed sixth grade. My older brother doesn't live with us. My mother has always supported my brother and me with our studies. She says that only by studying can we have many opportunities.
I really like going to school because I have many classmates with whom I share things and play soccer. My favorite subject is math because I enjoy learning about different operations and understanding numbers. My dream is to become a certified public accountant and work in a bank or supermarket, putting everything I've learned into practice. I want to continue my studies, and I know I can achieve this through a scholarship. My family has limited financial resources, and although my mother is very supportive, I know it will be difficult for her to provide for my education. That's why with this scholarship I can achieve my goal of becoming a professional in the future and help my mother.
