My name is Deblin, I was born in Antigua, Guatemala, and I have a younger brother. I live in the Santa Isabel neighborhood near Santo Tomás Milpas Altas. My father's name is Luis, and he only completed sixth grade. He works as a security guard at a residential complex, and his salary is our only income. My mother's name is Magalí; she also completed sixth grade and is a stay at home mom. She takes care of my brother and me. The house we live in isn't ours; my grandparents gave us some rooms, and that's where we live. My biggest dream is to become a doctor and help others. I would like to work so I can help build our house. My favorite subject is math because I can learn so much and apply it to everyday life. My favorite hobbies are playing soccer and drawing. I want the scholarship because it would be a huge help in finishing my studies and becoming someone in life. It would also help my parents a lot with my education expenses.
