Biography
My name is Emily. I was born on January 29, 2011, in the municipality of San Pedro Yepocapa, in the department of Chimaltenango. My mother is Flora; she is a stay at home mom and only completed the third grade. My father is Esvin; he works hard every day to provide for us, even though his job takes up a lot of his time because he repairs appliances. I have two sisters, and I am the oldest. After my paternal grandmother died, my father got sick. This inspires me to continue studying to achieve my dreams and those of my parents, because I want the best for my family, just as they want the best for me. I am grateful for every opportunity to improve myself, as I make the most of each day, and also to help my mom at home. I'm doing very well in my studies; I enjoy doing my homework and I'm happy because I'm almost finished with another academic stage, so I can take another step forward. One of my dreams is to continue studying until I graduate as a nurse, to support those who need it most and to be a support for my family, especially my parents, who show us every day how valuable education is. If I were to receive the scholarship, I would take full advantage of it, because it would be a great support for my studies and would provide me with the resources I currently need. It's a very important opportunity to get ahead, focus on my studies, and be able to contribute to my community and my country.
