My name is Pedro. I'm from Patzún, Chimaltenango. I was born on May 4, 2008. I am an orphan. I study at a school in my community. I'm in the second year of high school. I currently live with some relatives. My aunt, Ana, is my guardian. She owns a small store selling basic necessities. It's very difficult not having my parents, but my relatives encourage me to keep going in my studies.

One of my biggest dreams and goals is to continue studying and graduate as a graphic designer. My favorite subject is art because I like to draw and paint; I really like colors and designs. I like to participate in my school's activities. There are several activities, like dance and sports mornings. I like them a lot because I get to show off my skills and abilities. It's also a lot of fun and makes me very happy. I also like the talent shows where each grade demonstrates a talent in front of all the students at my school. Sometimes I help my uncle with his blacksmithing work. I enjoy helping because I learn a lot from him. This scholarship will be a great help to me and my family because we are low-income and can't afford my tuition, books, or notebooks. I would like to graduate with a diploma in graphic design; it's my biggest dream. With this scholarship, I can become a successful professional.
