My name is Elisa. I was born in the municipality of Patzún. I have seven siblings; none of them graduated due to a lack of financial resources. My father's name is Rafael; he is a day laborer and only completed the third grade of middle school. My mother's name is Luciana; she is a stay at home mom and only completed the fourth grade of elementary school. My biggest dream is to graduate and become a flight attendant. I like this career because it would allow me to meet and serve passengers on airplanes, travel to other countries, and learn English, something I have always dreamed of. I am also motivated because I would be the first woman from my community to graduate and pursuit this career. I enjoy participating in school activities. My favorite subject is math, since I like adding, subtracting, dividing, and everything related to numbers. In my free time, I help my father with planting in the fields. I really like what he grows, and I've always told him that one day I'll graduate so he and my mom won't have to work so hard anymore. It's wonderful to go to the fields to plant with my whole family. I would love to have a scholarship so I can continue studying and not have to drop out, since my parents don't have the financial resources to keep supporting me. The scholarship would help me graduate because my family is very large, and my parents can no longer afford for all of us to continue studying.
